The young and versatile Brazilian actor Gustavo Pace is celebrating a new step in his career. After gaining attention for his brave humoristic skills seen in the award-winning original play “Naked Brazilian”, Gustavo is now one of the main attractions in New York’s latest Shakespeare in the Park Adaptation of “Much Ado About Nothing”. The comedic play is part of the Hudson Warehouse Summer Stage Project in its 13th season bringing crowd-pleaser plays to outdoor audiences in the parks of the city. The project has had famous stars in its top-list such as Steve Guttenberg (“Cocoon”), Peter Francis James and Ray Virta (part of the committee), whom had worked with Oscar winner Brit actor Mark Rylance. Now it’s time for newcomers to introduce their modern techniques, including Mr. Pace himself, who carries a strong determination and dedication on stage.
“Much Ado About Nothing” is directed by Nicholas Martin Smith, and stars company members Roxann Kraemer as Beatrice and 2-time IT Award Winner Greg Horton as Benedick. It’s a play about deception, betrayal and conspiracy set in the island of Sicily in Italy 1930’s an era of bohemia, fascism and rebellion. Other cast members include David Palmer Brown, Patricia Caruana, Paul Singleton, Benjamin Farmer and Lisa LaGrande. The glamorous and authentic costume designs are signed by renowned artist Emily Rose Parman, and Jared Kirby is the Fight Director.
