Dedicated to Music, books, art and tech, the Latin Alternative Music Conference is celebrating its 17th anniversary promoting and supporting genres of Latin music, spanning the entire Latin America and Latin-American artists who had been living oversea in order to develop their musical talents. It’s also recognized as the major celebration in the US for emerging Latin music.

SUMMERSTAGE will celebrate the vibes of Latin genre starting on Wednesday, July 6th at 6pm with the following performances: MEXRRISSEY, the sensational pop band from Mexico, led by Morrissey, an artist known as a “great voice of pacifism” with songs about love, loss and metaphors for overcoming obstacles. LOS CAFRES is a reggae band from Buenos Aires, a harmonic and dancing combination of Traditional Spanish-styles and rooted Reggae. An accomplished band in Argentina, with 13 albums released, all becoming Gold/Platinum Hits and with a Latin Grammy nod earned in 2013, their music will certainly inspire the good vibes. And LA DAME BLANCHE is the personal work by Yaite Ramos, a Cuban artist living in Paris, who is the daughter of Aguaje Ramos (musical director of Buena Vista Social Club Orchestra). Her musical trends mix Rap, Reggae and Cumbia, among other Afro-Cuban styles.

His songs give a modern reinterpretation of romance, nostalgia and young desires with reflections on being an artist, a grown man and a father. And 17-year-old Eduardo Amezcua aka GRENDA represents the latest generation of electronic music artists emerging from Tijuana. He will present songs extracted of his debut album “Untouchable Skin”, and from his EP “Living Right”.
