⭐MoMA

The major exhibition Engineer, Agitator, Constructor: The Artist Reinvented presents the political engagement, fearless and groundbreaking visual experimentation, and utopian aspirations of artists in the early 20th century. On view in The Robert B. Menschel Galleries, Engineer, Agitator, Constructor showcases the activities of historical avant-gardes, including galvanizing works of Dada, Bauhaus, De Stijl, Futurism, and Russian Constructivism, and highlights such figures as Aleksandr Rodchenko, Lyubov Popova, John Heartfield, and Hannah Höch.

Drawn from the Museum’s outstanding holdings from this period, the exhibition marks a recent acquisition of more than 300 works from the Merrill C. Berman Collection, one of the most significant collections of early 20th-century works on paper in private hands.

The vast exhibition gathers sculpture, paintings, drawings, photography, works in print, newspaper and journalism and is on View Through April 10th on the 3rd Floor, MoMA 11 West 53rd Street, Go to www.moma.org for tickets, schedule and details.

⭐NJPAC

Fans of the eclectic singer, songwriter and actor Jeff Daniels are in for a winter blast with his unique, brand new show streaming exclusively at the NJPAC’s virtual platform. Featuring music from the worldly famous, comic award-winning actor, writer and musician Jeff Daniels, the show will take place straight from the comfort of your living room! Playing songs from his new album, Alive and Well Enough, Daniels crafts an intimate, entertaining and unforgettable evening. Music lovers and movie fans alike share a love of his songs and the stories that only he can tell.

Submit a question during the show and Jeff will answer them in a post-show Q&A. Live on Crowdcast, Saturday, Jan 23rd at 8 pm. Tickets range from $20 to $30. Go to www.njpac.org for details.

⭐Joyce Stream

Dance lovers will have until this Sunday, January 3rd to check out some of the most exciting Holiday Dance shows at The Joyce Theater Foundation’s Free streaming dance portal. The amazing, funny and uplifting troupe Les Ballet Trockadero de Monte Carlo brings the bi-annual celebration “Paquita” among the highlights.

Rounding up the program are, Streb: Massive Rotations a celebration of design and architecture through dance, and Rennie Harris and three works forming the “Puremovement” program, exploring Black identity in the US.

Other dance companies include Vanessa Sanchez and the all-female tap dancer group Pachuquísmo. And Indigenous Enterprise, a professional Native American dance group, made up of champion dancers from tribes and Nations in Canada and the United States.
