Tickets are on sale now for the most exciting Film Festival in the US, celebrating its 59th edition with an unmissable showcase of new works from the best filmmakers around the globe. NYFF kicks off on September 24th and continues thru October 10th at Film at Lincoln Center with the World Premiere of Joel Coen’s “The Tragedy of Macbeth” starring Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand. Other highlights include Cannes winner “Titane”, the latest by Almodovar “Parallel Mothers” and the Brazilian/Mexican co-production “Prayers for the Stolen”. Presenting films with Oscar buzz, bold and inventive narratives, contemporary world cinema and new American works, the Festival will expand its attractions this year with Outdoor screenings and a collaboration with other venues to screen some of the films. @Mark Morris Dance Center

The renowned choreographer Miro Magloire and his ensemble dance company New Chamber Ballet present the debut of his new work, “Musik”. Created as a love letter to the art of dancing and the process of teaching it, the spectacle is dedicated to the late Willy Burmann, his influential mentor who passed away last year. Dancers Amber Neff and Megan Foley, Anabel Alpert and Rachele Perla give life to the extraordinary combination of classic and contemporary ballet with live music including vocals and insertions of Brahms and Beethoven. Get yourself a good night of laughs with the amazing comedian Eddie Griffin, bringing his sharp humor to the stage of New Jersey Performing Arts Center located at 1 Center Street in Downtown Newark this Saturday. The Def Jam Comedy and Comedy Central regular who also appeared in films such as “A Star Is Born” and “John Q” will bring his acclaimed Las Vegas-residency show “Eddie Griffin: Laughin’ Through Your Mask” conceived on hot topics regarding the Pandemic and its social troubles. Wrapping up the Summer season of free events in its lawn, Bryant Park will host the 100th anniversary celebration of the historic NYC performing music venue The Town Hall. An important stage that held the NYC debuts of talented musicians such as Joao Gilberto, Bob Dylan and Billie Holiday, The Town Hall continues to promote world music of all genres with the same diversity seen in the vanguard era. On Monday, September 20th, starting at 7 pm, Broadway singer and actor Jessica Vosk will host the program with many guests, including Grammy Award-winning mandolinist, former radio host and songwriter Chris Thile, Indian percussionist Zarik Hussain, and other special musicians and live performers.
