The great Joao Carlos Martins is considered one of the most important conductors in the world. On Friday, May 9 at 7:30 pm this Brazilian landmark of classical music will perform his farewell concert at Carnegie Hall, 57th Street and 7th Avenue, Manhattan. Founder of the vibrant percussion group Mambembe NY, multi-talented Bahia-born NYC-based musician Everton Isidoro performs an original music set for the Opening of the 3rd NY Brazilian Film Series on Sunday, May 18 at 4:50pm at Cinema Village, 22 East 12th Street, Manhattan. An established artist, Isidoro has performed at many venues such as The Town Hall, 92Y, The Newark Museum and others.
