After reaching stardom with the creation of the Dorothy role in Broadway&#8217;s &#8220;The Wiz&#8221;, Mills became one of America&#8217;s most notorious songstress, inspiring and influencing the generations that came after her. On Saturday, January 15th at 8pm, she will be joined by legendary and super R&amp;B group The Whispers, the old school group that keeps its original members since its formation, over 40 years ago. The Museum of Modern Arts, 11 West 53<sup>rd<\/sup> Street, celebrates the legacy of the artist with the expansive and luminous exhibition \u201cAlexander Calder: Modern from the Start\u201d, a compilation of large-sized sculptures, drawings and paintings in display through January 15<sup>th<\/sup>. Exploring his use of wood, wire, jewelry, mobiles in motion and abstracts, visitors will be able to admire renowned works such \u201cLobster Trap and Fish Tail\u201d conceived in the 1930\u2019s, the recently restored \u201cMan-eater with Pennants\u201d, among others drawn from the Museum\u2019s catalogue. Through January 16<sup>th<\/sup> visitors will be offered a variety of hits to be re-discovered or explored for the first time. The series include Japan\u2019s Oscar entry \u201cDrive My Car\u201d, Wes Anderson journalistic ode \u201cThe French Dispatch\u201d, Jessica King\u2019s acclaimed doc \u201cAscension\u201d, as well as the Documentary Oscar front-runner \u201cSummer of Soul\u201d directed by Questlove, and others.
