The New Jersey Performing Arts Center, 1 Center Street, Newark, will make reggae enthusiasts dream come true with an extraordinary reunion that will gather the best in contemporary, pop and classic reggae. Worldly known for their soft\/romantic\/dancing tunes, including all-time favorites such as &#8220;(I Can&#8217;t Help) Falling in Love With You&#8221; and &#8220;Red, Red Wine&#8221;, Grammy nominee group UB40 will introduce new songs from their latest album, &#8220;Bigga Bagaggaridim&#8221; as well as their famous hits. They will be joined by The Original Wailers featuring Al Anderson, embodying the vibrancy and legacy of iconic artist Bob Marley, reggae vocalist Maxi Priest, and American band Big Mountain. Bringing symphony music to the Latin America, Europe and beyond for over 70 years, the Orchestra is formed by 108 musicians, a chorus of 50 members, soprano Camila Titinger and harmonica virtuoso Jose Staneck. The concerts are set for October 14 and 15. On Friday, October 14, the Sao Paulo Symphony Orchestra will perform classics such as Villa Lobos\u2019 \u201cHarmonica Concerto\u201d, \u201cBachianas Brasileiras\u201d and more. On Saturday 15, there will be a different, unique and unusual program, entitled \u201cThe Amazon Concert\u201d. It will feature an immersive technique to bring audiences to the Amazon Rainforest experience, accompanied by a video installation conceived by Marcello Dantas. The evening will be a musical\/visual arts hybrid to celebrate Villas Lobos\u2019 legacy and to shine a light on the importance of the Amazon.
