Formed by 108 musicians and a 50-member choir, the Orchestra will present a double-bill program which includes a night of classic tunes such as Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov\u2019s \u201cScheherazade\u201d and Villa-Lobos\u2019 \u201cBachianas Brasileiras\u201d on October 14 and an immersive, unique experience entitled \u201cThe Amazon Concert: Sights and Sounds of Brazil\u201d featuring a video installation created by artist Marcello Dantas on October 15. The program brings soprano Camila Titinger and Harmonica virtuoso Jose Staneck. Tickets start at $18. They will join forces and talents to perform songs from their album \u201cStorytellers\u201d, a big band celebration of Brazilian jazz rhythms, highlighting its undeniable influential power over music history. Known for her smooth vocal performance technique, Luciana has a strong presence on stage, proving there\u2019s no limits when comes to performance. As for Mendoza, the versatile artist has been blending genres and giving new elegance to classics for over two decades. Among the musicians forming the Big Band are Chico Pinheiro on the guitar, Scott Colley on bass and others. Saturday, October 15<sup>th<\/sup> at 8pm. Tickets start at $25. His work blends dance, visual arts and observations on the objects of our daily lives. \u201cJust Above Midtown: Changing Spaces\u201d(pic.) opens on October 9<sup>th<\/sup> on the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Floor and explores the contemporary work found at JAM, a gallery that dedicated its place to showcase African-American artists in late 70\u2019s-early 80\u2019s. The exhibition gathers video, archival material and performances.
