The 11<sup>th<\/sup> annual TD James Moody Jazz Festival will host free and ticketed events, kicking off the 2022 season on November 8<sup>th<\/sup> with a Free Virtual poetry event, followed by two on-stage shows on November 10<sup>th<\/sup>: the powerhouse and vibrant singer Fantasia with special guest Jazzmeia Horn, and the creative force Terence Blanchard along with his E-Collective and Turtle Island Quartet.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-53330\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brazilianpress.com\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/NJPAC-Foto-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"197\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.brazilianpress.com\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/NJPAC-Foto-1.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.brazilianpress.com\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/NJPAC-Foto-1-300x84.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Other highlights include the sophisticated, smoothness of the YellowJackets on November 13<sup>th<\/sup>, and the much-awaited dance and jazz fusion of Carolyn Dorfman Dance entitled \u201cJazz Legends and the Power of Now!\u201d on November 16<sup>th<\/sup>. Worth of a lot of attention are also the free shows at Clement\u2019s Place reuniting community artists, and NJMEA all-state jazz band and choir formed by students introducing the performers of the future. Other more ambitious options are Pioneer master and Grammy-winner Maria Schneider bringing an experimental Orchestra, and Musical director Christian McBride\u2019s showcase \u201cRepresent!\u201d reuniting artists of jazz, community leaders, poetry and hip hop activists for a night of spoken word, music and poetry.<\/p>\n<p>Fans of Latin Jazz won\u2019t be disappointed. The electrifying energy of salsa, Cuban jazz and other Afro-Latin rhythms are embodied with perfect harmony through the collaboration between Cuba\u2019s most famous salsa singer Isaac Delgado and one of Latin Jazz\u2019s most influential multi-instrumentalist Alain Perez. They will join forces on stage on November 18<sup>th<\/sup> to perform new hits from their latest project, \u201cCha Cha Ch\u00e1: Homenaje a lo tradicional\u201d which granted the pair the Grammy Award last year. The classic of expressionism will be screening at MOMI, 36-01 35<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue, Astoria, Queens, in a special restored print from Friday thru Sunday, with a live piano accompaniment by Makia Matsumura on Sunday, October 30<sup>th<\/sup>. The event celebrates the 100<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of F.W. Murnau\u2019s beloved scary romantic tale as part of the museum\u2019s annual series \u201cSilent, Please!\u201d which features several classics in restored prints.
