Revisiting the past and embracing the tendencies of the future, the program includes Award-winning choreographer Arielle Smith&#8217;s &#8220;Five Dances&#8221; a magical and celebratory new work, Liam Scarlett\u2019s &#8220;Consolations &amp; Liebestraum&#8221; an emotionally-charged piece accompanied by a live music performance of Liszt&#8217;s piano concerto, Ashley Page\u2019s luminous &#8220;Larina Waltz&#8221; danced to Tchaikovsky&#8217;s classics and the intimate biblical look &#8220;Eve&#8221; by Christopher Marney. Barreto Productions\u201d is a 13-film retrospective featuring some irresistible classics such as &#8220;Barren Lives&#8221;, &#8220;Entranced Earth&#8221; and of course, &#8220;Dona Flor and Her Two Husbands&#8221;. Running September 6-15 the series presents the Cinematic world of the Barretos clan and their influential power in the industry. Producer Lucy Barreto and her son and filmmaker Bruno Barreto will be in attendance for selected Q&amp;A sessions.
