Since the company’s founding in 2005, BalletX has expanded its repertoire with over 50 world premieres by numerous internationally renowned artists. Under the artistic direction of executive director Christine Cox, the company is committed to producing new works of the highest quality and integrity that bring to life combined visions of choreographers and dancers alike. BalletX will present a mixed bill program featuring works by choreographers Matthew Neenan, Jorma Elo, and Trey McIntyre.

Show Me, by BalletX co-founder Matthew Neenan, incorporates quirky movements in which couples and quartets move around the stage with ease and lightness. Neenan captures the BalletX dancers’ idiosyncratic personalities in new and unusual ways. Show Me had its world premiere at the 2015 Vail International Dance Festival.
Next is Jorma Elo’s Gran Partita featuring the music of J.S. Bach, Mozart, Monteverdi, and Alban Berg, which had its world premiere as part of BalletX’s Fall Series 2014.

The evening concludes with Big Ones, a new work by renowned choreographer Trey McIntyre which is set to music by Amy Winehouse and had its world premiere this past February as part of BalletX’s Winter Series 2016.
