As part of the 2021 Holiday Season of great spectacles, NJPAC, 1 Center Street, Newark will host a special double event of the Hip Hop Nutcracker at 2 pm and 8 pm on Saturday, December 18th. An audience’s favorite and crowd-pleasing energizing show, The Hip Hop Nutcracker returns for its 7th season tour helmed by choreographer Jennifer Weber and performed by a dozen of stellar dancers. @The Lucille Lortel Theatre

Located at 121 Christopher Street, right off the Path Train in New York City, The Lucille Lortel Theatre is hosting a multi-stellar Holiday season event that brings artists from all over the world performing their unique cultural traditions representing the excitement, joy and celebration of the season. Thru December 31st, Tinsel- A Global Holiday Festival features artists from the US, Australia, Mexico, India and Brazil. Among the highlights, Everett Bradley’s Holidelic (Dec 9-31), a musical celebration full of humor led by one of the world’s most renowned percussionists, Brazilian artist Ronny Dutra’s Reveillon Branco (Dec, 27 and 28) inspired by Afro-Brazilian culture, dance and traditions, and set with the energy of Copacabana Beach, and the international drag star Latrice Royale. @Symphony Space

Experience the magic, sensibility and adventure of Valentina Kozlova’s Dance Conservatory new adaptation of Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite”. Performed by young stars from Valentina’s prestigious school of dance, as well as emerging award-winning dancers who just won several medals at Ballet competitions, the 1-hour all-dance event takes place at Symphony Space, (95th Street, Broadway) Saturday December 18th at 3pm and 6pm. Trained at the Bolshoi Ballet School, Valentina’s innovative and dedicated teaching methods blends The Bolshoi School with Balanchine methods, creating remarkable ballet sets. @American Museum of Natural History

The American Museum of Natural History located at 79th Street Central Park is opening its new immersive exhibition SHARKS on December 15th. A thrilling and adventurous feast for the entire family, the large-scale exhibition will feature dozens of gigantic and real-life size models from 33 feet to 5 inch-long, fossils from its collections, touch free interactive programs and more, offering a vast display of the threatening, fascinating and often misunderstood world of sharks.
