The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra is back live on stage under the Artistic Direction of renowned trumpeter and visionary maestro Wynton Marsalis. The 2021/2022 season kicks off next week with a 3-night event marking the 60th birthday of jazz leading man Wynton Marsalis. Audiences will be treated to two distinct sets spanning the work of Marsalis’ across the decades in various fields such as composing, arranging and performing. The 90-minute performance features other musicians and special guests, including Summer Camargo and Anthony Hervey, among others. Brazilian MPB star Marisa Monte has just announced the dates for her next US Tour, which will stop at many cities on both Coasts and will land at New York City’s iconic and historic music theater The Town Hall, located in the heart of Times Square in Manhattan. The multi-talented, charismatic and Grammy-winning singer, composer and producer will bring her new hits and eclectic collaborations displayed on her latest solo album, “Portas”. The work was released back in Summer and was conceived during the Pandemic, as she reflects on the process of creativity in connection with nature, love, philosophy and politics.
